ABOUT REBECCA HARRISON

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
I am under the supervision of Elizabeth "Miki" Anderson, LCMHC-QS

Take a second and think, “What brought me here?” Are life’s demands causing you added stress? Are you feeling a lack of control over the direction your life is heading? Do you feel like you are walking through life without actually living it? If you answered yes to any of these questions, counseling can help address your concerns and provide you with the skills and resources needed to feel better and thrive.

Counseling Style

I believe successful treatment begins with establishing trust while providing a warm and supportive environment. I am a person-centered counselor, providing clients with empathy and unconditional positive regard. I use an integrative approach to help determine which evidence-based counseling theories will be most effective for each client. Everyone has a story to tell, and my role as a counselor is to help you construct your “story,” identify areas that might need attention, and provide skills to facilitate change.

Areas of Expertise

Bipolar Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Childhood Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Complex Trauma, and more.

Theoretical Orientations and Interventions

Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Strengths-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (SB-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Arts, and more.
